Lasting Powers of Attorney documents allow you to give legal authority to a person or persons who you trust to manage your affairs for you, or make decisions on your behalf, if you are not in a position to do so yourself, e.g. after an accident, a stroke, or as a result of dementia. There are separate Lasting Powers of Attorney dealing with your Property & Financial Affairs and one that deals with your Health and Welfare.
